(MENAFN) Iran’s banking system financed 669.4 trillion rials (nearly $2.585 billion) of services to 1,362 knowledge-based companies in the past Iranian calendar year 1400 (ending March 20), to record a 108.2% increase over the year before 1399.
As mentioned in reports by the Mehr news agency, Bank Mellat accounted for the largest holding of funded services with 112.9 trillion rials (nearly $436 million), followed by Bank Melli with 94.4 trillion rials. (nearly $364.6 million) of facilities offered.
The Islamic Republic has established strategies to maintain and authorize knowledge-based enterprises as a step forward to appear as the objective of the year which is “knowledge-based production and job creation” while the economy faces US restrictions.
Fatemi-Amin said “one of our priorities in foreign trade is to export knowledge-based goods instead of raw or semi-raw materials.”
the minister said that “this year, taking into account the slogan of the year which is ‘Knowledge-based production and job creation’, we are completely revising the selection criteria for the main exporting companies in the country, so that companies exporting knowledge-based goods would be given more prominence and would be among the best manufacturers.
