Halliburton will lead the foundation

Lake Charles Memorial Health System hosts Sol Halliburton as the new Executive Director of the Foundation at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

She oversees the strategic development and direction of philanthropic partnerships with the community and generous donors. The LCMH Foundation supports the mission of the health system by advancing programs, services and advanced technology for patients.

She brings over 30 years of global experience in the nonprofit, healthcare, hospitality and online retail sectors, as well as extensive fundraising experience.

For the past seven years, she served as Executive Director of Johnston Health UNC in Smithfield, North Carolina. Prior to that, she served as Director of Development for the American Heart Association’s Sandhills NC Region in Morrisville, NC, and Senior Community Leader for the American Cancer Society in Raleigh.

His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, a major in Management Information Systems from Assumption College in San Lorenzo Makati City, Philippines, Special Events Management from NYU School of Continuing Professional Studies, and a Certificate in fundraising.

She is one of 7,600 fundraising professionals from over 25 countries who are currently Certified Fund Raising Executives. The CFRE is the only accredited and globally recognized certification for fundraising professionals.

Richard joins J.D. Bank

JENNINGS — JD Bank is pleased to welcome Tyler Richard to its commercial loan team. Richard will serve as an AVP Commercial Lender in our Lake Charles market and work with clients throughout Southwest Louisiana to help them achieve their financial goals through commercial project financing, including real estate, equipment , operating lines of credit and many other business needs.

His office is located at the Nelson Road Branch, 4400 Nelson Road in Lake Charles.

Born and raised in Moss Bluff, Richard graduated from Sam Houston High School and Sowela Technical Community College. He started his banking career in 2017 as Commercial Relations Manager with Iberia Bank.

Active in the community, Richard is a board member of the Literacy Council of SWLA and a member of the Greater Lake Charles Rotary Club. He is a 2020 graduate of Leadership Southwest, an annual SWLA Economic Development Alliance development program designed to prepare emerging civic leaders.

Bruchhaus joins the Broussard group

Ken Broussard, CPA of The Broussard Group, LLC is delighted to announce that Karl BruchhausCPA, will join The Broussard Group, LLC as Chief Financial Officer in July 2022.

Bruchhaus is a licensed public accountant and graduate of McNeese State University who served as chief financial officer of the Calcasieu Parish School Board for 18 years before serving as superintendent for eight years.

He received the 2018 State Educator of the Year Award and the Cypress Lifetime Achievement Award from the Louisiana Association of School Business Officials. The Cypress Award is given to LASBO members who have best exemplified LASBO’s spirit of excellence and cooperation during their career.

He has been a guest speaker for the National Public Risk Management Association, Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, Louisiana Head Start Association, McNeese State University Strategic Planning, and National Emergency Management Association.

He has volunteered with the Jennings Kiwanis Club, Abbeville Kiwanis Club, Vermillion Boys and Girls Club, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jefferson Davis Parish.
