In 2021, Margaret Capper partnered with the Southeastern Wisconsin Latin American Chamber of Commerce to create a revolving loan fund that helps Latin American businesses borrow funds to start and grow their businesses.

The loan fund allows entrepreneurs to borrow under the revolving loan program to advance their business goals.

Capper, who is senior vice president and director of commercial banking for North Shore Bank, taught 12 mandatory cash flow seminars to more than 60 candidates. North Shore’s collaboration with the bedroom received the BizTimes Milwaukee Nonprofit Collaboration of the Year 2021 award.

“Throughout the pandemic, Margaret has led her lending team with areas of support in securing PPP loans for clients, ensuring completion of each application, disbursement of approved funds and remittance through the SBA,” said Jay McKenna, president of North Shore Bank.

Capper also led the bank’s partnership with The Lonely Entrepreneur in late 2021. Through this partnership, she helped identify 11 Black Wisconsin entrepreneurs to access an entrepreneurial learning community, each receiving a dedicated commercial banker to the North Shore Bank to help his business.
